Big Brother Australia – Daily Show #7 – New Housemates, New Weekly Task

New Housemates!

At last, all 18 Housemates have entered the Big Brother house. During Sunday’s live show three housemates and two houseguests entered the game. This year’s audition process was a little bit different compared to season’s past. The public was allowed to vote in their favorites. The top three with the most votes were guaranteed housemate status this year. Big Brother introduced them as the other housemate’s “Biggest Threats.”

Most of the girls took a liking to Barney, the lifeguard, especially Alice. Barney seems to like her too. In the lounge area Bridget joked that Alice was to become the new “Mrs Brady”, which is reference to the nickname they gave Barney, Greg Brady from “The Brady Bunch.”

The other two webmates were barely on the show tonight. Michael introduced himself to the housmates by describing himself as “straight edge” which means he doesn’t do drugs, drink alcohol, or smoke. Nathan described himself as a heterosexual who doesn’t have a boyfriend or girlfriend.

Terri has troubles keeping Corey in check

Corey Worthington, the infamous Party Boy from Australia entered the house as a houseguest. Being that Corey is underage Big Brother assigned him a chaperon that will keep him out of trouble. That person is Terri, the housemate that was evicted the first night. If Terri completes her task then her status as housemate will be reinstated by Big Brother.

Tonight’s show chronicled Terri failing miserably at her task. When Big Brother called both of them into the Diary Room to explain the rules of Corey’s visit it was clear that Terri’s job wouldn’t be easy. Big Brother only gave them one locker that they both have to share. Corey immediately complained to Big Brother by saying that all his stuff wouldn’t fit inside the Locker. Terri told Corey that they should compromise on the new living arrangements, but Corey refused to listen.

The housemates decided to play a practical joke on Terri. They told her that Corey climbed the tree in the backyard and escaped the Big Brother compound. Terri rushed to Big Brother for advice. Big Brother wasn’t pleased with Terri’s performanced and told her to do what she needed to do to retrieve him. Corey didn’t climb over the fence, instead he was hiding in the locker room.

Bianca, who has her own issues with Corey, told Terri the truth about the prank as Terri was midway up her tree climb.

Later that night Big Brother woke Terri to remind her that her task was to make sure Corey would go to bed at a reasonable hour. It was 3:45AM and Corey was outside talking with Nobbi and Dixie, both of whom share a common dislike of Terri. The nanny put on her robe and went outside to try and rush Corey to bed with no luck. Finally Rebecca and Bridget were able to coax Corey into the bed by pretending that they wanted to talk to him.

New Weekly: After Party Cleanup

Early in the morning Big Brother turned on the lights in the Bedroom. On the plasma screens inside the house read a text message from Big Brother. The message read, “HouseM8s, Gr8 party last nite. Soz about the mess. CU l8r. :) BB” The housemates walked to the backyard to discover that it was completely trashed. There was broken chairs, shopping carts, confetti, even a small economy car in the backyard. The housemate’s task was to clean up the backyard in one hour to Big Brother’s liking. The award for completely the task was the temptations behind the glass window in the lounge, which included red meats, and other foods.

Michael, one of the new housemates spent his time “supervising” and actually didn’t help at all. Party Boy Corey, who has a past of not cleaning up after parties actually did his fair share of the cleaning. The housemates were able to complete this task within the allotted time, but because this was a weekly task they weren’t going to get the reward until the week was finished.

Will the housemates have to clean the backyard again? Find out soon on Big Brother Australia!
