The funny thing about newspapers and journals around the world is they usually like reprinting the same stories over and over again. Sometimes they’ll add their own special twist to the story. Sometimes they leave it exactly the same. Here are some quick links to stories we’ve already covered on RealityFire:

Big Brother US:

- Networks Bulk up on Summer (Reality) Fare
- Product Placements Rose 6% in First Quarter, Nielsen Reports
- Big Brother 9: What’s Next for James and Chelsia? (BuddyTV)

Big Brother UK:
- NNNooo DDDaaavvviiinnnaaa!!! (BuzzKilled)

Big Brother AUS:
- ‘Lil Rima Breaks Her ‘Lil Leg (BuzzKilled)
- Twentyman: Kids needs stimulating television (Not covered here before, but gotta love the psychological blowhards who think everyone is a case study.)

Q Big Brother has been at the centre of many censorship debates. Do you feel government needs to be involved with issues of content?

A Well, that program is actually using footage of John Howard having a go at them as an ad now. They’re laughing about it and just disregard the complaints and potential damage. I don’t know how much of a say government should have but there should perhaps be more control in terms of so much being live these days, anything can get broadcast. I don’t believe in extremes of censorship but I think parents need to be far more aware of the rubbish their children are watching. Otherwise, the situation stands to get worse. We’ll have a generation who can’t think for themselves and don’t know what’s going on in the world.
