On July 13th, 2008 Big Brother will start again with Big Brother 10. In preparation for the new season RealityFire is posting Top Ten lists each day to help the new houseguests.
Today’s List is the “Top Ten Phrases You Will Hear in the Big Brother House”
Every Reality TV Show has its own set of catchphrases that get repeated over and over again during the show. Big Brother is no different. From things Julie Chen says, to phrases other housemates say, and even phrases Big Brother says. You will hear some of these phrases at least 100 times in the game.
Here are the Top Ten Phrases you will Hear in the Big Brother House…..
10. Houseguests, This is a Lockdown. Please go outside and close the sliding glass door. Big Brother says this when there is a lockdown. You will hear this phrase often.
9. <Name of Houseguest>, Please put on your microphone. Your fellow housemates are talking without their microphone on.
8. <Name of Houseguest>, Please go to Diary Room. One of your fellow housemates was called into the Diary Room to talk about you. Yes, you should be paranoid.
7. Good Morning Houseguests, It’s time to get up for the day. This is the first message you will hear from Big Brother when the day begins. It’s usually followed by loud music. You are instructed not to talk game while music is playing.
6. <Name of Houseguest>, Please exchange your microphone with one in the storage room. One of your fellow housemates have been talking up a storm. Their battery pack’s batteries are dead.
5. By a vote of <number> to <number>, <name of houseguest> you are evicted from the Big Brother house. Julie Chen will say this on the video screen moments before you walk out the Big Brother doors.
4. On the chopping block. When two of your fellow housemates are nominated they are said to be on the chopping block. Instead of questioning the phrase, just pretend they are now chickens and Julie Chen has a large butchers knife.
3. Thrown under the bus. When a houseguest is thrown under a bus then it’s a good sign that their alliance is falling apart. Being thrown on a bus is worse than being tossed out the window.
2. This is the Nomination Ceremony, Part of my duties as Head of Household is to nominate two people for eviction. I will now pull the first key. This phrase is something you’ll always hear, but never say.
1. <name of houseguest>, Stop that! Big Brother is scalding you for trying to hump your fellow housemates.
