Alabama cattle rancher James “JT” Thomas Jr. wins “Survivor” – Alec Harvey’s Blog & Column – al.com

James “JT” Thomas Jr., a 24-year-old cattle rancher who grew up in Samson and lives in Mobile, won the $1 million prize on “Survivor: Tocantins” Sunday night.

A tough competitor throughout the 39-day competition in the wilds of Brazil, Thomas began the night in the final four, won both immunity challenges and went into the final two without having to face a vote.
