Welcome to the new design! I created this design way back in October when I last posted here and put on the back burner as other things in my life became a higher priority. Now that we are nearly 100 days away from the premiere of Big Brother 11 I thought I might as well get things rolling again.

I have many exciting new ideas that I’m going to implement this year so please return in the next couple of months and decide to choose RealityFire as your new Big Brother source.

While I was gone the site received 13,000 unapproved spam messages!  Jeesh! I had to go into the database manually to delete them all. Let that be a note to anyone else who doesn’t keep up with sites. I might have deleted some actual posts, so I am sorry if that happened.

What happened to the forums!?

There is no need for me to duplicate the success of other websites. So, I will be linking to a forum that I regularly participate in, Jokers Updates. I’ve come to know Jokerette and most of the Joker’s staff over the past year and think they deserve every damn user in the world. So go there, discuss away, then come back here for my insightful, witty, charming, and absolutely annoying commentary and news. Ok?

What has happened in the World of Big Brother since I last posted?

Ok, so I’ve had this rule forever. What the houseguests do in their private lives is their own business. I’m not a huge fan of gossip websites that stalk these average people after the show. I find it distasteful, and distracting. Sure there are rapid fanatic types who need their Chiara (Big Brother 3) updates, but seriously, enough is enough.

That being said here are a few things that former houseguests have said publically shared (paraphrasing horribly btw).

- Dan (Big Brother 10) is doing motivational speaking. He broke up with his girlfriend Monica. And there have been many innocent encounters with Keesha.

- Keesha (Big Brother 10) has an off again/on again relationship with her boyfriend. Not sure exactly what that is about. Also, her and Renny have had a falling out. Keesha solicited her fans to voter her as Hooters girl of the year.

-Renny (Big Brother 10 ) has tried to sell everything in her closet and her neighbor’s closet on ebay.

- Jerry (Big Brother 10 ) has throat cancer and is getting treatment. I pray for a speedy recovery for him!

- Steven (Big Brother 10) has visited Kuwait, and plans on visiting Iraq very soon.

- Memphis (Big Brother 10) traded his car in for money. If you didn’t hear the story basically CBS didn’t own the car, so they settled on a cash prize instead. He is still giving out signatures to people I guess.

- April and Bryan “Ollie” (Big Brother 10) are still a couple. They both live in Arizona.

Speaking of couples..

- Jen and Nick (Big Brother are still together too.

Big Brother Australia:

The update for the next season is Big Brother is this: There isn’t going to be one this year. As you know Ten ended the current adaptation of Big Brother. At the time the hosts and everyone involved said that Big Brother would eventually be back, just not for a couple of years. This may turn out to be true. The latest rumor is that there might be a Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack series that would debut in 2010.

Big Brother UK:

Jane Goody passed away due to cancer.  She was a contestant on three Big Brother series, two set in the UK and one in India. Her death was publicized on international news.

Every year there are rumors of Big Brother UK’s demise – and that holds true this year as well. Everyone involved is saying that this year will be the last, but that is yet to be seen. I’m still holding out hope that they will convert to a US format which would be more successful in the UK.

As for rumors for Big Brother 11… expect the unexpected and same mix of casting from Big Brother 10.

Big Brother Australia has been officially axed, with Channel 10 holding a media embargo on the announcement until midnight tonight.

The tragic news comes despite the best efforts of this year’s production staff who took risks to revive the BB format. It is also a huge shock for Big Brother Australia fans and the hundreds of employees involved with in show’s creation.

Our sources inside the Big Brother compound tell us the announcement was unexpected for the BB producers, who did what they felt was in the best interests of the show and believed this year would be a season benchmark.

We have also been informed the Big Brother “concept” will return to Channel 10, however this won’t be seen until at least 2010. No word on whether this project is part of the Endemol Big Brother franchise.

The news.com.au article that is reporting this news says “Catering and entertainment options are available and range from themed party nights to television crews taking footage of the evening for later viewing.” The infamous Big Brother voice will be there to DJ the party, and security guards will be on hand to evict party goers.

Ben stood up for Terri by saying that it really isn’t far for them all to gang up on Terri. He asked how they would feel if they were the only young person in the house with a household of 52 year olds. Later that day Ben and Terri caught up in the bathroom. Terri told Ben that when she is at work she always gets asked why she is looking gloomy. She said that normally that’s not her current feeling, it’s just how her face looks. Terri said that she doesn’t think telling people it’s okay to be positive about everything is a good day. Somedays you have too look at things realistically.

Nathan and Renee… Renee and Nathan. Their relationship has been featured a lot this week on the Daily Show. During Today’s episode we saw Renee beginning to drift away from Nathan after he politely told her he didn’t like her. Nathan said that he wishes the other guys would “just stop it.” Renee said that she would have a talk to them.

Before falling asleep Renee had a candid conversation with David, Ben, and Rory in the bed. She basically said that she is over Nathan because she knows that nothing will come from the relationship. Renee and Rory spoon each other and then Nathan walks in…

“We’ll talk about it tomorrow” Renee yelled out to Nathan..

Also Happening in the House…

- The housemates continue practicing for their weekly task.

- Rory Shaved an arrow into Nathan’s hair.

- Dixie continues with the house chores.

- Alice shares with the girls that she can’t have children.

Fellow housemate Bianca voted to evict Rebecca because she believed that Rebecca only wanted to be on the show to get a Zoo Contract. I wonder how Bianca will react knowing she was correct.

All the housemates were gathered in the lounge for a message from Rebecca. Because she was no longer inside the house, Rebecca couldn’t retain ownership of the Head of Household title. She passed the title over to Alice because she felt that Alice needed a break from doing all the house chores.

Rebecca then discussed each housemate giving reasons why she liked or disliked them. It was very clear that Rebecca didn’t like either Bianca or Dixie. She said that the other housemates should be careful what they say to Dixie because she will repeat it to others and talk behind their backs. She said she never really cared for Bianca from the start and called her a cow. Both Dixie and Bianca yelled back towards the screen when Rebecca was talking about them.

Rebecca tossed her Housemate Hand Grenade towards Dixie. For the remainder of her stay Dixie must become the Laundry Lady of the house. She was told she must do all the house’s laundry. The other housemates cannot do their own laundry anymore – they must give it to Dixie to do.

The new weekly task – So You Think You Can Dance.

This week’s daily task is a crossover with So You Think You Can Dance Australia. The housemates were paired up with partners are to perform a single type of dance at the end of the week. Each day they get one hour to practice.

Ben and Bianca – The Tango
Alice and Dixie – Hip Hop
Dave and Terri – German Slap Dance
Bridget and Travis – Disco
Nobbi and Rory – Boy Band

- Ben and Travis celebrate being saved from the eviction.

- Alice regrets voting for Rebecca.

- Bridget is sadden about her friend’s eviction.

- Nathan tells Renee he doesn’t want to start something in the house. He would prefer just being mates.

The sources who were quoted in the article say that the departure of former host Gretal Killeen have added to the decline in ratings. Apparently, in Australia, Gretal was a spitfire to the contestants. “Kyle and Jackie O just don’t serve the same purpose. Jackie is quite limp and Kyle prides himself on being wrong – he will always say the wrong, obnoxious thing and hurt people.” said a professor of film and television.

They also blame the ratings decline on the “extreme casting” in which people from different walks of life were put into the house. A former contestant said, “A quarter of the people in there you are unlikely to meet in a normal situation.”

Is this the end of Big Brother in Australia?

I don’t think so.

MayoClinic.com says, “Shingles is a viral infection that causes a painful rash. Also known as herpes zoster, it often appears as a band of blisters that wraps from the middle of your back around one side of your chest to your breastbone. Other parts of your body can be involved as well, including your neck, face or scalp.”

The other housemates were adviced not to use the hot tub, nor were they allowed to touch Travis. (I guess that this means Nobbi won’t be able to tickle his best bud anymore). Travis also has to sleep in a separate bed from the other housemates who sleep in a large communal bed.

Also, BehindBigBrother.com has learned that a Hypnotists will enter the house sometime this season. Peter Powers, a British TV personality is set to enter the house to put the housemates under some hypnotic trances. Let’s just hope he forces Travis to talk with a normal voice for the remainder of the season!

American to Australian Dictionary:

An Intruder is someone who comes into the house as a guest. Evel Dick’s appearance on Big Brother 9 would make him an intruder.

When Renee heard that the rumor had been circulating she began to backtrack on her feelings. She said that someone like Nathan would be fun to chase in the outside world. However, she said Nathan is way out of her league. He’s traveled all around the world and experienced so much more than she has.

At the weekly meeting the topic came up again. Nathan, this week’s head of household asked one of the prepared questions: Which housemate would you go on a date and why. Travis said he would like to take Renee. Alice said that she’d take Dave. Terri said she would like to take Rory on a date. Renee said that obviously everyone knows that she thinks Nathan is hot. “If I was in the outside world I don’t reckon I’d be in his league, but I’d attempt it.” Renee explained.

Nathan started out by saying he’d be happy to go out with any of the girls at the table. But he would take Renee out because she is a legend and wears her heart on her sleeve. The date wouldn’t be boring and awkward.

Later on, Renee and Nathan had a chance to talk alone. She said that she didn’t realize she lived in a bubble compared to all the housemates. They all went to college and she dropped out in the 10th grade. She’s not going to be brain surgeon. Nathan asks why she sells herself short. Renee said she’s not smart. Nathan says she’s not dumb. She may not be a brain surgeon, but she’s not dumb.

Also Happening in the House:

- Dixie exercised for an hour. She then went to Big Brother requesting a different size of jogging shoes because hers are too small.

- Before Bridget’s things were taken she used Dixie’s mascara and put it into her own makeup bag. When Big Brother gathered Bridget’s things he also took Dixie’s mascara.

- Bridget and Ben had a falling out during the weekly meeting regarding Bridget’s reaction to the hand grenade.

- David’s cult secret finally came out at the weekly meeting. The housemates looked generally shocked.

- Rory streaked at the Cricket game.

- Alice admits she likes Rory, but Rory doesn’t like her.
