On July 13th, 2008 Big Brother will start again with Big Brother 10. In preparation for the new season RealityFire is posting Top Ten lists each day to help the new houseguests.

Today’s List is the “Top Ten Strategies or Roles You can Have Inside the Big Brother House”

Before going inside the Big Brother house you will be asked to have a strategy. Even if you have no strategy (which is a strategy), you will need one in order to make it to the end of the game.

These are the Top Ten Strategies or Roles You can Have Inside the Big Brother House….

10. No Strategy - Having no strategy is actually a good plan for the type of person who prefers to follow others. Why worry yourself with strategy when you can be relaxing in the hot tub with a glass of wine?

9. The Floater - The floater strategy is among the most popular strategies in the game. It involves not really choosing sides, and always keeping a balance in the house. True floaters usually get pretty far in the game.

8. The Gossip – Never keeping a secret might cause you troubles later on in the game. But being everyone’s best friend and gossiping about others in the house can get you at least midway.

7. The Stealth Whisperer – Similar to the Gossip, except your ability to whisper is like art.

6. The Single Parent – While you might piss off the viewing public with your constant discussions about being a single parent, this strategy seems to work. If you someone get to the end of the game you are almost guaranteed to win the money.

5. The Bitch – Being mean is not a task, it’s a hobby. Being the bitch is a good strategy because you can cause your fellow houseguests to become fearful.

4. The Cook – Being able to whip up a mean lasagna might be reason for other houseguests to keep you in the game longer. The cook is usually stationed in the kitchen and has a clear view of a lot of the places in the house, including, the backyard, bathroom, head of household bedroom, and the living room. You can also see who walks into the storage room.

3. The Leader – Being labeled as the leader is actually kind of tricky. Usually when the house divides into two or more alliances the leaders are the ones who get targeted. A successful leader should be able to convince either a fellow alliance member to take the bullet for you, or convince the other side to vote of one of your weaker competitors.

2. The Manipulator – This strategy involves smoothing talking your way in and out of situations, while keeping the blood off your hands. The manipulator plants seeds weeks in advance then when the moment is right they add a bit of miracle grow.

1. The Competitor - Even though it doesn’t happen often, the person who is the fiecest competitor should win the game. They deserve to win the game the most for giving it their all. The competitor is usually the most popular houseguest outside of the house, and the least popular inside the house. You are everyone’s obstacle for winning the money.

On July 13th, 2008 Big Brother will start again with Big Brother 10. In preparation for the new season RealityFire is posting Top Ten lists each day to help the new houseguests.

Today’s List is the “Top Ten Former Houseguests that You Should Know”

Each year Big Brother introduces new housemates for all of us to love or hate. These are the Top Ten Former Houseguests that You Should Know….

10. Maggie – Season 6 - Maggie was the winner of the sixth season of Big Brother. During Big Brother 6 the houseguests each had secret partners. Maggie’s partner was Eric, who was the leader of the “friendship” alliance. Maggie was able to get to the end of the game by constantly asking her alliance, “What would Eric do?” Maggie was the most hated winner of Big Brother ever.

9. Marcellas Reynolds – Season 3 and All-stars (7) -Marcellas won the very first Golden Power of Veto. Marcellas is credited with making the worst mistake in Big Brother history by not using the Golden Power of Veto to save himself. While he was on the nomination chopping block Marcellas decided not to use the veto because he didn’t want Jason to decide between Daniele and Lisa. Instead of voting out Amy, Daniele and Jason targeted Marcellas. In Big Brother All-Stars Marcellas was like wallpaper. He put on his white robe and hung out in the red room the entire season. He tried to play the role of a floater – but in the end we think he was there for the vacation.

8. Nakomis – Season 5 -Nakomis was part of the twist of Season 5, Project DNA. It was revealed by a letter from her father that Michael “Cowboy” was her long-lost brother. Nakomis created the “Six Finger Plan” which was the first official blindside backdoor. The plan involved nominating two decoys, then everyone choose a PoV partner who all had the same goal – evicted Jase. It didn’t matter who won Power of Veto because whoever won would take one of the decoys off the block and Jase would replace them. The “Six Finger Plan” was abolished the next year when PoV Players were randomly selected by ping pong balls.

7. Eric Stein – Season 8 - Eric was America’s Player. During each episode Eric was assigned a task that had to be completed. For every 5 tasks he successful completed he would win $10,000. Early in the season Eric decided that America’s nomination suggestions were not beneficial towards his gameplay so he worked against his tasks. America punished Eric by sending a banner that all the housemates could see. It said that Eric was a liar. After nearly getting evicted Eric began playing along with America and saved Evel Dick from eviction. Overall Eric won $40,000 from completing tasks.

6. Crazy James – Season 9 – Crazy James had a pink mohawk which made him stand out from the other houseguests. In the beginning of the season many of the houseguests had said they would’ve eliminated him first had they won the “Power Couple” challenge. Crazy James is considered the leader of “Team Pink” which also included Chelsia, James’ showmance, Josh, and Sharon. Each week the opposing alliance, “Team Christ” tried as had as they could to get James evicted. James was voted back into the house on the same night the houseguests evicted him. James went on to win 3 consecutive Power of Veto competitions. Eventually “Team Christ” won , but Crazy James won the $25,000 America’s Favorite Juror Prize.

5. Danielle Donato – Season 8 – Daniele was the muscles in the Donatos Alliance. Her father Evel Dick walked into the house as a so-called enemy. However, despite their differences Daniele was able to work with him and get all the way to the end. Daniele won two head of household competitions and five power of veto competitions tying Janelle’s record.

4. Daniele – Season 3 and All-stars (7) – Daniele is none for making it all the way to the end of Big Brother 3 with a secret alliance with Jason. Throughout the season she had a countdown where she would countdown the number of houseguests were standing in her way. There wasn’t a jury house for Big Brother 3. The contestants were allowed to go back and rewatch the entire season before voting. Because Daniele’s diary room sessions were brutal many attribute this as the reason she lost the game.

3. Janelle – Season 6 and All-stars (7) - Janelle is the Veto Queen. In her original season Janelle won the Power of Veto twice. During the All-Stars season she won it five times. Although she was a large target in both seasons she was able to last to the final 3 both season. This also makes her the person who has spent the most days inside the house. In the All-Star season she was awarded $25,000 for being America’s favorite houseguest.

2. “Evel” Dick Donato – Season 8 – Evel Dick is probably the first “Fan” ever to win the show. Before going on his season Dick actively participated on Big Brother message forums and even watched the live feeds. Dick applied to be on Big Brother 5 and 6, even making it all the way to the finals in both season. In Big Brother 8 he was brought on as Daniele Donato’s enemy. While being an obvious target throughout his season, Dick avoided eviction. Big Brother 8′s America’s Player twist helped Dick. Around Week 3 most of the America’s Player tasks began to favor Evel Dick. One of the antics Dick used in his season was to bang pots and pans over the beds of fellow housemates on competition days.

1. Dr Will – Season 2 and All-stars (7) – Dr Will Kirby is considered the best player ever. His nicknames are “Evil Doctor” and “The Muppet Master.” Both names came about because he was able to manuever himself to the end of the game by manipulating the houseguests. Even though everyone pretty much disliked him, the season 2 houseguests voted for him to win. One of Dr Will’s strategies is to throw every single competition. The reason he would throw competitions was so he wouldn’t be seen as a person in power. Other’s fates wouldn’t be blamed on him. In the All-Stars season he kept this strategy in play. Even though everyone knew his strategy he wasn’t evicted until the Final 4.

Honorable mentions:

11. Allison Nichols – Season 9 - Allison was the first person to be evicted twice in one night.

12. Kaysar – Season 6 and All-Stars (7) – Kaysar has a record of being evicted three times from Big Brother. Althought he’s a fan favorite he’s never made it to the Jury.

13. Will “Mega” – Season 1 – Will “Mega” was the first person ever evicted, (or banished as it was called then) from the Big Brother.

In preparation for the new season RealityFire is posting Top Ten lists each day to help the new houseguests.

Today’s List is the “Top Ten Reasons Why No One Likes You”

Let’s face it you are going to lose the Big Brother game. It’s not because of any mistakes you made or anything else you’ve done. Simply put, no one likes you. So, you can put all the stress behind you because your fate is already sealed. Just enjoy the rest of the time you have in the house because that time is going to be short lived.

Here are the Top Ten Reasons Why No One Likes You…..

10. You are fake – You generally give off the impression that you aren’t being real in the houes. You barely talk about your life outside of the game. And when you do talk you just agree with everything everyone says.

9. You look different – Let’s face it, all those cliques in high school were a test run for Big Brother. If you physically don’t look like you peers then you aren’t one of them.

8. You suck - Sometimes literally (see: Natalie Cunial).

7. You are annoying – Let’s be clear, saying the same thing over and over again can get annoying. Yes, the joke was funny the first time – but the more times you tell it the less genuine the laughter will be. Eventually, people will be talking behind your back about your annoying joke.

6. You have bad hygiene – Big Brother provides you with toiletries if you didn’t bring your own. Use them.

5. You constantly cry – No one likes a crybaby.

4. You are a single parent – Who cares, the world is filled with millions of them.

3. You read or don’t read the bible - You are screwed either way.

2. You kiss too much ass – People’s asses are getting raw. How about taking control of your own fate for a week or two besides relying on others.

1. No one likes you because you are getting in their way of winning $500,000 - You should take this excuse as a compliment. Your fellow housemates hate you because you are their toughest competition.

On July 13th, 2008 Big Brother will start again with Big Brother 10. In preparation for the new season RealityFire is posting Top Ten lists each day to help the new houseguests.

Today’s List is the “Top Ten Mistakes You Can Make Inside the Big Brother House”

Big Brother is like a daytime soap opera. The show is filled with characters that you either love or love to hate. The storylines of each character are intertwined by the actions and decisions they make. Sometimes a character will decide to jump off a cliff to follow a ghost childhood pet. Making the wrong decision on Big Brother can also effect your well-being in the house.

Here are the Top Ten Mistakes You can Make Inside the Big Brother House…..

10. Losing the First HoH Competition – The first Head of Household has very little time to decide who he or she likes and wants to keep in game. The likelihood that you will randomly get nominated is greated depending on first impressions which leads to…

9. Make a bad first impression. Don’t act cocky, smug, overly confident. Be yourself, but don’t come out playing the game of Big Brother too stronge. This will get you eliminted early in the game.

8. Losing pivotal PoV Competitions – When you are on the nomination chopping block it is crucial that you win the Power of Veto. It’s the only way you can be sure you won’t get evicted.

7. Getting caught playing both sides – Big Brother is much of a team sport as it is an individual. You need to have alliances throughout the game in order to stay safe. Sometimes though it is neccesary to cover all scenarios. However, in doing so you run the great risk of alienating your original alliance and in the future when you are nominated they might choose to evict you for this reason. Scheme carefully.

6. Not Using PoV on Yourself - (See: Marcellas Reynolds)

5. Taking a Cash Prize – Big Brother will offer many tempting offers throughout the game. Try your hardest not to win them! If you make it to the end of the game the Jurors will take in consideration your current Big Brother balance. They will probably award the grandprize to the person who won the least amout of money during the game.

4. Getting on Big Brother Slop restriction diet - Idiot, you choose the wrong team in the food competition.

3. Having a Relationship in the House – Whether it’s a built in previous relationship or one that develops inside the house. Getting feelings for another person can get your game ruined. Generally Big Brother players get jealous of people who will never turn on their loved ones. If you must, try and keep your fling a secret.

2. Throwing Competitions – It’s one thing to lose a competition, but to deliberately throw one is its own category of stupidity. Never throw a competition because you never know when it will backfire on you. Your safety is all that matters.

1. Offering Yourself Up for Nomintations - The point of the Big Brother game is to survive without getting evicted. If you are offering yourself up for nomination then you are putting your future in the game in jeapordy.

On July 13th, 2008 Big Brother will start again with Big Brother 10. In preparation for the new season RealityFire is posting Top Ten lists each day to help the new houseguests.

Today’s List is the “Top Ten Things to Bring to the Big Brother House”

There are a lot of items that are forbidden from the Big Brother house. You cannot bring books, magazines, personal electronics like radios, televisions, computers or mp3 players. On this list we are going to focus on items that you can and should bring into the house.

Here are the Top Ten Things to Bring to the Big Brother House…..

10. The Bible – Big Brother allows you to practice any religion you wish inside the Big Brother house. Along with this, they allow you to bring in a book of worship. Houseguests in the past have used Bible Study as a way to pass the time.

9. Cigarettes – If you are a smoker you will want to bring in enough cigarettes to last the entire season. Big Brother does not replenish your supply. If you run out Big Brother will provide nicotine patches.

8. Two Pairs of Sunglasses – It’s summer time in the Big Brother house. The sun can get very bright. You should bring an extra pair of sunglasses so that someone else can borrow.

7. Gloves – Big Brother allows you to wear sports gloves during competitions. Sometimes these gloves will allow you to get a better grip on the game.

6. Your Favorite T-Shirt - Just as long as it meets Big Brother’s guidelines you should try to bring in your favorite t-shirt. Big Brother no longer allows housemates to wear iron on letters on t-shirts. If you want to have a certain message display on a shirt you’ll have to get it properly created at a shirt press.

5. Lucky Charms or Cross Necklaces – As long as they don’t obstruct your microphone you are allowed to wear them. Sometimes having the Lord or Luck on yourside is enough to win the game.

4. Bandannas - Survivor started the trend of alliances who wear the same type of bandanna. If you want to start an alliance just hand out bandannas to your new crew.

3. Hats - You cannot bring pro-sports caps, but you can bring in college hats.

2. Electric Toothbrush – Big Brother provides toothbrushes for who didn’t bring them. But, having your own toothbrush can give you a sense of normalcy that you might desperately need in the game.

1. Edible Underwear – Hey, Adam Jasinski brought some and he won.

In preparation for the new season RealityFire is posting Top Ten lists each day to help the new houseguests.

Today’s List is the “Top Ten Things to Memorize Inside The Big Brother House”

Every year there have been at least one competition where memorization is the key to winning the game. Sometimes it has to do with counting, memorizing phrases, or paying close attention to objects in the house.

Here are the Top Ten Things to Memorize Inside The Big Brother House…..

10. Memorize your fellow Housemate’s Names – This is just common courtesy. Failing to know someone’s name could get you voted out early in the game.

9. Memorize objects that are grouped together – Whenever there are a large number of objects in the house, like the Evil Ducks in Big Brother All-Stars its always bound to be a question. Make sure to keep a good count.

8. Memorize phrases written anywhere in the house – Sometimes there are phrases on the walls of the Big Brother house (Big Brother All-Stars and Big Brother 9). If there are phrases on the walls then there is a good chance they will be a question.

7. Memorize the order of Events – Every year Big Brother asks questions pertaining to the order events happen in the game. Study the order of HoH wins, Nominations, Food Competitions, Luxury Competitions, PoV Competitions, PoV Ceremonies, and Evictions every night before you go to bed!

6. Memorize the multiples of 7 - The cycle of a “Big Brother Week” is seven days. If you know all the multiples of the number seven then it’ll be easier for you to quickly answer date related questions.

*note I: Week 1 is normally longer than the other weeks. In order for the multiple of sevens to work you’ll need to add on the extra days from Week 1. So let’s say from the time you entered the house to the first eviction is 9 days. You’ll always add 2 days to your multiple of seven. If Big Brother asks what day was the food competition in Week Three you would take 3 X 7 + 2 + 1 = Day 24.

**note II: Don’t worry, It’ll be easier to think about this in the house when you have nothing else to do!

5. Memorize Multiples of 24 - Most tie-breaker questions involve knowing the hours between two events. Example, How many Hours was Jen wearing the red unitard.

4. Memorize Measurements and be able to guesstimate the fullness of Objects - Recently, Big Brother has asked questions involving measurements. On Big Brother 8 one of the Head of Household competitions was to guess how many gallons of tea would fill the teacup. On Big Brother 9 a similar question involving pounds of lard in a bathtub appeared in a PoV Competition.

3. Memorize Where Objects Are Located - Sometimes Big Brother will ask you to properly guess where a certain object is located inside the house. Or, Big Brother will ask you if an Object Goes missing.

2. Memorize Speech Patterns of your Fellow Housemates – For the past two seasons Big Brother has had questions about evicted Houseguest’s diary room sessions. The Housemates were asked who said a certain phrase in the DR.

1. Memorize Nothing – Sometimes memorizing too many things keeps you from socially interacting with the other housemates. In the social game of Big Brother mingling with the group is the best advice anyone can take with them to a win!!
